As mentioned in Part 2 of my DeGoogle series, Google Auth was the first on the chopping block. This is due in part to the fact that a two factor authenticator is a tool I use consistently throughout the day for work and personal use. Enter Ente Auth.

After a few weeks of auditing my Google ecosystem I've come up with the following list of Google services that I am going to replace with alternatives.

My 2026 goal is simple in theory, but hard in practice (as are most things): decouple from Google's ecosystem completely across all aspects of my tech sphere.
